I Fall Hard for Autumn!

Every year as fall approaches I get extremely excited. Although living in Los Angeles doesn't provide me with a real color change - heck, we don't even have many tress here to see a change if there was one - I am still a sucker for autumn! There is a crispness in the air that hits come late September and lasts until Thanksgiving.

I am so excited that I had an opportunity to combine my adoration with fall and my love of meeting new bloggers thanks to a fall swap organized by Emma, author of Tales of an All American Girl. She paired me up with Single Mama in LA, Yolanda, who lives in a neighborhood very near mine. Since we follow each other's blogs, this was a great opportunity to meet in real life.

The swap consisted of purchasing a fall care package, whatever that meant to us. For me it means earthy/amber scents and Starbucks, so I got Yolanda a Starbucks gift card, Bath & Body Works products in Twilight Woods, an apple scented candle, and note cards that have a fall-ish look to them.

Check out these wonderful gifts that she gave me! A hoodie, scarf, cinnamon apple flavored tea with a mug to put it in, and Bath & Body Works candles in two new scents: Autumn and Leaves.

Side note: check out this adorable Skull & Crossbones Tote that they are selling at Bath & Body Works right now! It's super cute! I kinda love the site's SPOOK-TACULAR BOO-TIQUE!
I am beyond happy with all of the amazing gifts that Yolanda got me! They are pretty awesome! As I type I am catching myself sniffing the scent of apple in the air...you know the way dogs point their nose straight up and wiggle it when they get a scent of food? So me right now!

The great part about this season is that I get to live vicariously through all of your posts. I literally get giddy when all of you East Coasters, or just anyone, anywhere that has a real fall, post pictures and talk about autumn. Any of you care to tell me what you are excited for this fall? Share a little piece of your heaven with me, pleeeeeease!

What a fun little swap! It looks like you got some great stuff! It's been cooler here in Alabama and it's been feeling a little like Fall and I have been loving it!

I love Fall, too! This Fall is really different for me because it's the first time in my life that I do not have to go back to a school. I'm hoping the Fall will bring a new job for me so I can began my career. Until then, I love watching the trees change colors around me and getting to wear coats, tights, and hats again.

I actually lit my candle last night and test sprayed the body spray and I LOOOOOVE it. It's fall and sexy all in one. Thank you so much!! It was awesome meeting you, and we will definitely hang out again soon :)

What a fun idea! I love scented candles and those look awesome. I'm a sucker for Fall too and I think I'm most excited about BBQ's with friends while watching (or for me not really watching) football, boots and chunky sweaters, and the beginning of the holiday season!

Hey... I keep telling you to come out here for a weekend - it's your fault if you stay in LA! ;)
Seriously, I love this post! You may be a bigger fall lover than I am, which is amazing! I really only blog during the fall/winter months... I think New England is at its most beautiful throughout those two seasons. Girl, you really, really need to head out here... a Salem Halloween, some pumpkin spice lattes, cool New England air, cloudless skies, pumpkin picking... (do I have you convinced yet?) :)

I so should have done this swap considering that fall is my absolute favorite season. I love the goodies you gave and received. Twilight Woods in one of my favorite scents from Bath & Body Works and I get compliments whenever I wear it. That was a good choice ;) I bet the tea you got will be tasty!

I am really looking forward to visiting the local the Farmer’s Market, outdoor craft fairs, going on a haunted hayride, enjoying a pumpkin spice latte and watching the leaves start to change. I’ll have to remember to take some good fall pics this year.

P.S. I totally failed in my attempt to find a cute postcard to send you. We visited shops/restaurants and not one sold postcards. I’m going to get something Philly themed together soon and get it to you just because ;)
