Pilgrim Approved!

Today I've dreamt up the perfect Thanksgiving outfit. Too bad Thanksgiving isn't a fancy affair in my family. We literally wear jeans - or whatever makes us feel most comfortable. BUT if I were to class it up, this simple dress and these bright heels from H&M would do the trick! I mean, the black dress is sort of a play on the female pilgrim garb...with just a shorter hem and lower neckline ;)

Now that my eye is on that dress, I may just buy it for my company holiday party. Each year we have a casual chic affair at some cool location. This year it's going to be at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. Awesome!

With some sparkly heels and the right jewelry, I think this dress would be perfect for cocktail hour at a rock and roll joint in the heart of Hollywood.

Today I am linking up with the wonderful ladies behind Fashion Fridays, Miss Kori of Blonde Episodes, and {av} of Long Distance Loving for Friday's Fancies! If you're blogging about fashion today, join their blog hops!

Thanksgiving is a pretty casual affair at my aunt's house too, but I wouldn't mind getting dressed up if it meant I got to wear that cute (and comfy looking) black dress. I think you might need to get that for the holiday party. That has "wear me with glitter heels" written all over it ;)

ha, thanksgiving always consists of pj bottoms and any grunge shirt i can scrape up. but i'm afraid this holiday will be spent with all of the hubs family and i don't know if they share in my same need for comfort, so i might just have to dress this fancy for the occasion. we shall see!
