Finding a quality pair of black, flat, knee-high boots has been the hardest task for me! I just want a nice pair of boots I can wear with jeans or dresses. I've been searching for the last two years and been pretty unsuccessful. In fact, I bought three pairs within the last two weeks before settling upon a pair.
Here's how my journey went...
After seeing Ashley of Hudson's Happenings post a pic of her beautiful Steve Madden Zhesty boots, I was smitten and had to have them! I ordered them and was pleasantly surprised that they were shipped and to me within two days. Now that's service! Sadly, the boots didn't fit. I have a high arch so I can't get boots on unless they have a zipper. I should have known better before ordering.
The next pair I bought online were Enzo Angiolini 'Zayra' Boots from Nordstrom. Although I prefer trying them on before buying, Nordstrom has a service where you can make purchases then pick them up in store. I figured if they didn't fit, I could just return them on the spot...which is what I had to do.
These boots were super stylish but way too tight on my calves. Boo!
Finally, I settled upon a pair of Söfft Casoria Flat Boots, also at Nordstrom. The picture above is of the brown pair, but mine are black. They're not the cutest boots ever, but they are cute enough. Since Nordstrom is having their huge sale I snagged them for $132.90. Unfortunately they are really tight in the foot area. I'm going to wear the heck out of them at home and hopefully they will stretch. They should since they're made of leather.
Anyone else have trouble find the perfect pair of black boots?
