NOLA Friday's Fancies

Happy Friday! I'm {av} and I'm filling in for Leeann while she is galavanting around New Orleans! Most days, you can find me posting on my blog, {long distance loving}, but I'm happy to grace the pages of Join the Gossip today. Leeann has been a faithful poster for my weekly link-up, Friday's Fancies, for quite some time now, so it's especially fun to share an outfit perfect for Bourbon Street :) Since Friday's Fancies is all about dreaming, this outfit isn't held back by a budget. {Fun, right?} I hope you enjoy!

1) A short and sassy dress, like this Nina Mini Dress from Susana Monaco, would work beautifully for New Orleans. Even though it isn't Mardi Gras, I stuck with the green+yellow+purple theme which is so characteristic of NOLA ;)
2) These easy Kate Spade Faceted Stud Earrings helped bring the rich purple into this outfit. I love the way it contrasted against the green too!
3) With a little jingle-jangle, this Ankora Smooth Gold Bangle Set would add a little fun to this ensemble without overwhelming it.
4) The bold yellow of this See by Chloe Twirl Crossbody Bag provided the final touch of color to this get-up. With the crossbody feature, it would be easy to navigate the crowds without worrying about your bag.
5) Heels may not be the best for the crazy streets of NOLA, but these Michael Kors Ruby Metallic T-Strap Wedge Sandals had to complete this outfit. Gorgeous and sophisticated, these wedges could work for almost any night-on-the-town outfit in Leeann's bag.

Many thanks to Leeann for having me today--I'm so jealous of her jaunt to New Orleans!
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend :) Stop by and see me soon! xoxo {av}

Those colors are beautiful - I'm such a fan of brights and colorblocking! The more color, the better! And turquoise/purple is one of my favorite combos - lovely post! xox
