Concrete Hero

My job entails online marketing for an event planning company that produces fundraising events - runs, walks, bike rides, and now urban obstacle challenges. This weekend was Concrete Hero, a pretty epic 5K that took over the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday morning.

We took over LA Live and beyond with obstacles such as a mock Hollywood Sign, La Brea Tar Pits, and Carmageddon (LA residents know what I'm talkin' about) you better believe this was a fun event!

Check out this cutie I spotted on-event in one of our shirts!

If you live in the LA area, or Southern California, and are interested in participating next year you should totally sign up for Concrete Hero! The over $400,000 raised went to Aids Project Los Angeles so it's a great cause.

Now that this weekend is over, I plan to sleep a lot! We get Monday and Tuesday off to recoop and I am looking forward to sneaking in some beach time as well as dinner and a movie with my mom.

What did YOU do this weekend? Join the blog hop and share with everyone. It's easy, just follow these steps: blog about your weekend, gran our button and add it to your post, then submit your link below. We'd love to have you!

I was wondering why the heck you were instagramming at 6 am your time on a Sunday. Makes perfect sense now. (And obviously I was up to see them happening live!)

What a fun job. I hope you enjoy your days off. You deserve some R&R after all your hard work.

though I really couldn't relate to but it looks like a lot of fun... and hard too. And looks like it was a big success too. Kudos to you and to the team who made it possible.

Haha...Carmageddon. I've lived in LA too long to know what this is. Haha. And I wish I had been there. Sounds like a lot of fun for a fantastic cause.

Not linking up today. Stayed home all weekend. Figured that's not really a fun topic to write about.

xoxo
