Post Thanksgiving

Happy post-Thanksgiving! Did you all survive? I went to Arizona to be with family for a week and while it was nice to catch up, five days is a little too long for me ;)

Of course I forgot to take pictures and only snapped a few. But I did do a lot of eating, sleeping, football watching, and cactus spotting - including the beautiful pink ones below. Who knew I could like the desert?

On Thanksgiving day itself, some family members decided to play beer pong - but instead of using beer they used Fireball. Not only were they cracking jokes, singing, and dancing, one uncle passed out in the kitchen and got sick in the sink. Totally normal right? I guess this is why we dress casual for the gathering lol. How did you spend Thanksgiving? I love hearing about others' traditions!

Stop by Thursday to read about my experience crafting at Michael's and see how easy it is to make a gorgeous Christmas wreath!

Happy Thanksgiving!

give thanks

How is it already Thanksgiving week? Wasn't it just Christmas?! Now it's almost Christmas again! I swear the older I get, the faster time passes. This week I'm off to Arizona to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. I won't be posting again until next Monday so I wanted to take the time now to wish you all (in the States) a wonderful holiday and to tell you I'm thankful for YOU taking the time to be my blogging friend!!

Christmas Crafts

This year, I am so that person who has lost it for the holidays. I am a firm believer of holding off 'til after Thanksgiving but this year I started watching Hallmark movies weeks ago, listening to festive music, and craving everything peppermint. Last week it was 95 degrees so I don't even know how I have Christmas on the mind, but I'm not even sorry about it!

This weekend I'm doing some Christmas crafting and wanted to share some ideas I found on Pinterest. (unfortunately to see the pins you have to view this post in desktop version, mobile won't work)

Do you have any other craft ideas? Send them my way!

Wishlist Wednesday

I am doing my best to not make frivolous purchases right now and have been doing pretty well. BUT that doesn't mean a girl can't browse, right? I have some Nordstrom credit, plus Santa can help foot the bill for these items on my wishlist!
Wishlist

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($16): I use eyeshadow primer and makeup setter but have never tried a foundation primer. Crazy right? I heard that this Smashbox product is a good one. What do you recommend?

2. Rechargeable Smart Clutch ($68): Having a battery charger in a clutch is genius! When I go out I want to capture the moments, but taking photos and using Snapchat, IG, etc., the phone dies within hours. Not a worry with this purse.

3. Knit Cape ($109): I've always wanted a cape but never had the fashion guts to buy one. I think I'd feel silly even though this one is adorable. It would be perfect for Southern California weather that's a tad chilly but not cold enough for a coat, though.

Beautiful New England Homes

In addition to New England history, food, culture, and fall foliage, I also adore the homes. Below are all snaps of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire houses that I took during my solo trip last month. I'm just over here daydreaming about living in any of them! {insert swoon}

The last photo, of a Salem, Massachusetts home is my favorite of the bunch! Did you see one you like?
