SparkleLouder: Hpnotiq NYE contest

A few weeks ago I posted about the amazing Hpnotiq SparkleLouder contest taking place right now. Here's a refresher in case you forgot or missed it:

Can you believe New Year’s Eve is just over a month away? I am so ready for 2014 - 2013 hasn't been my favorite. To celebrate this year being out the door I plan to party it up. I want to go all out and rent a hotel then head to a bar with a view. Either back to a small bar in Orange County that overlooks the ocean where 2013 was rung in, or a fancy Downtown LA spot.

One thing is for certain, no matter where NYE is celebrated, champagne is a must! And I have just the recipe for the big night - a Dazzler made with Hpnotiq. Here's the recipe:

You Will Need
•2 oz. Hpnotiq Harmonie
•2 oz. Champagne

Instructions: Pour chilled Harmonie and Champagne into a Champagne flute.

For me, New Year’s Eve is all about the sparkle. Dresses, skirts, accessories - there has to be at least one part of the outfit drenched in glitter. I have two outfts in the cue right now. Yes, there's still over a month until the big night, but a girl's gotta have options, right? If I head to a local bar I'd opt for the dress above. It's not overly fancy, but the neckline is blinged out. But if I were to celebrate in NYC I'd bust out a sequin skirt and rock a bright red lip. There's no better way to say "I'm here to party" than a sparkling gold mini and saucy pout.

As a bargain shopper, I just wanted to share my wonderful holiday dress find. My black and white, knee length, halter from Forever 21 was quite a steal at $25. I bought it back in Novemeber and was able to wear it for my holiday work party, as well as the New Year's Eve celebration I attended. I can probably wear it for my friend Melissa's wedding rehersal dinner, too. (Melissa is also pictured above, wearing a $40 dress found at Macy's this past summer).

Why spend big bucks on something just to wear it a few times? If you're like me, you'll probably only put it on twice before u spill/tear/grow out of, or ruin it in some other tragic fashion!

It's Almost 2008...and Definately Time to Celebrate!

With 2007 coming to a close (rapidly), I want to wish everyone a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve night! Enjoy some bubbly if you have a designated driver =)

Among the many awesome events that occured within the past 12 months, my favorite memory/memories were in the month of August...and no I'm not talking about my birthday (which was fabulous by the way!).

I am an avid music lover and concert-goer, so the Summer of Unity Tour courtesy of 311 was the highlight of my year! As a super-fan, I traveled to San Diego, then Irvine the following night, to see my favorite band play--a ritual for me. I would've gone to see them in Santa Barbara and Las Vegas as well, but I value my job! As always, 311 was amazing. They have not put on a bad show since I began adoring them around 11 years ago. Of course, I highly recommend catching one of their concerts.

Other notable shows included: The Police, Unwritten Law, Incubus, and O.A.R.

What were your favorite memories?
