An All-American Weekend

While Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer in the U.S., I have a feeling So Cal is just getting started. We've had a mild season, with temps being relatively low...until fairly recently. We're in for at least a few more weeks of scorching temps. Either way, I celebrated this weekend as if it were the last of summer, just in case.

And what are the best ways to celebrate summer? That's easy: the beach, beer, and baseball!

    I am so jealous of all these people saying it's fall. It's so not fall up here, either. That sounds like a lovely weekend! We had fun - just sat around in coffee shops and did a hike at Point Reyes. I need a coastal foggy day fix every now and again :)

    Mostly I just chilled, but I did get to have a pancake dinner with friends and play games Sunday night. Sadly, Monday I had to work.

    Okay so I'm really sad that OKC doesn't have a "real" baseball team. Minor league isn't nearly as exciting as Major league. I need to go to a game badly, I can't believe summer is basically OVER :( I know I wanted the pumpkin spice latte back, and a *little* bit of a chill in the air, but now that it's here I'm sort of not sure I'm ready.

    I'm sorry, I think I sent the super hot temps your way. But, at least you have some great drinks to help with that ;)

    Well you already read about my weekend, but that beer looks fabulous. I could go for one right now, but since drinking in the workplace is frowned upon, I suppose I'll continue to sip this diet coke.

    that dog is super cute! we did absolutely nothing this weekend - except did some grilling and playing outside. And it was awesome!

    Looks like you had a fun weekend! We sweated to death at the NHRA US Nationals on Saturday and froze at a pool party on Monday. Crazy Indiana weather!

    Your weekend looks a lot like mine, just substitute baseball for football and we're all good :) It also looks like you had about just as much fun, which is fab! Don't you wish we always had three days off? That'd be really amazing. Happy Tuesday, girlie!

    Jealous of the beach! In a matter of 2 hours our weather went from 85 to 55! Not ok...I like a gradual decrease...

    It was a looooong weekend and quite a hot one! :D Getting hotter though and cooling down on the weekend so I guess it was worth spending it outside now. :D Hehehe.

    It is seriously fall here in Sweden - it was like one second it was summer and then somebody flicked a switch and the entire country but their boots on! Can you believe I totally spaced it was Labor Day?! Welcome to ex pat life.... !!

    Fun weekend! It’s hot up here too and supposed to be 90 this weekend. I’m bummed because I’m so ready for fall! I would take any one of those drinks right about now. Yes, even at 7:00 am! Hahaha. I just relaxed over the holiday weekend, saw a bunch of movies and did some chores. Boring.
