Pun intended ;)
Last week I got a lot of positive feedback on my watch post. You all loved the watch/chunky bracelet look and encouraged me to replicate it. Now I need your help - I have narrowed it down to two Michael Kors watches and I want to know which one I should select.
The styles are the same, except one is tortoise and the other silver. I think I like the tortoise better, BUT the silver is more timeless.
Please let me know which one you like better! It'll help me make my decision.

While I love a good tortoise accessory, go with the silver on this one. I have seen the tortoise MK watch on so, so many wrists lately, so the silver will keep you classy but give you a nice edge against the other watch-wearing ladies out there :) hah

ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the tortoise I would go with the silver....I actually just bought a new watch and went with silver because I've noticed that the tortoise has been going out of fashion already while the silvers coming back in!

I love the tortoise, I have a similar tortoise watch. I love the silver too though, it is classic!

Sure the silver one is more timeless but look how insanely gorgeous the tortoise is. In a couple of years everyone will be going back to skinny watches anyways. Go with the tortoise and make everyone jealous now. I'm already jealous.

ReplyDeleteThey're both adorable! I feel like the silver watch would go with more outfits (brown or black) but the tortoise watch would blend in more. Sorry, that wasn't helpful at all, haha. You really can't go wrong with either!

I like the tortoise shell and would def go with that unless you wear an obscene amount of black on a regular basis :)

gah, this is tough! The silver is very classic, but the Im obsessed with the tourtoise right now. I do think it will wear well for a long time!

ReplyDeleteI totally understand your dilemma. I tend to err on the safe side so I guess I'd go for the silver -- but the tortoise is just to die for. It makes a statement but not an overt one.

ReplyDeleteI have the toirtise from last year and still love it. It's a great alternative. Keep it mind it has gold accents. Do you wear gold and/or care about mixing metals? That's the only hitch. Either way is a winner!

ReplyDeleteTORTOISE! it's the one. it is!!! I love it! Silver is timeless, but I think tortoise can actually go with a lot of things too. I like the band on the tortoise one better too.

Weirdly enough, I like the silver! Normally I'm a gold girl, but I like the silver in this case. Especially if you want to layer it with lots of bracelets--silver will go with much more. xoxo!

ReplyDeletethe silver tone is always a classic look for me, but i'd do the tortoise just because it's something new and bold.
ReplyDeleteI would go with the tortoise, but that's because I am NOT a silver girl. Plus those silver watches tend to tarnish and the coating peels after time, especially with working in food service.

What did you decide on this? I have this watch in white. I say go with the silver and then get a Fossil in the tortoise since it's cheaper. You can never have too many watches anyway!
