A Perfect LA Weekend

I've got a giveaway going on now. Check it out!
________________________
I live and work in LA, so all week I'm in the city. But on the weekends I play softball in my hometown with my parents so a huge chunk of time is spent there. This weekend was the first in a long time that I stayed in LA and it was pretty nice.

Saturday I went to Cardio Barre for the first time. Oh.Em.Gee. It is HARD! I'm out of shape and don't hydrate enough so about 30 minutes in I legit almost passed out. Spots, dizzy, and all. That's never happened to me before and it was scary. AND my legs have been crazy sore ever since. I'm honestly scared to go back. But I bought 10 sessions so looks like I'll have to ha!

After getting my butt kicked at the class I took a three hour nap then got ready for a birthday party for fellow blogger, Brooke of Chelsea Grey.

Poof of the good time - Pimm's Cup and my LA blogging bestie, Kate of Nautical By Nature.

Sunday was spent cuddling on the couch with my dog watching movies. Perfect end to my weekend.

Ooh that drinks looks so yum, I want one right now but it's 8am on Monday so that'd probably be frowned upon. Your pup is adorable! Looks like a fun weekend!

I heard of Cardio Barre and it scared me. I prefer yoga or dance type classes. I was looking into joining my local Crunch gym. Hope I don't learn the same lesson you did! Hydrate girl ;)

You look so cute in those pics! Sounds like a really well-balanced weekend to me. :) There's nothing like a lazy Sunday. We had to do some stuff yesterday (take our kitten to get his second set of shots, go to a friend's toddler's bday party), but I relish those days when you just get to relax and have nothing on the agenda.

149 linkups?!? Look at you go.

Awww I love your dog! It sounds like the party was fun! I've been very interested in Cardio Barre, but I've heard it's really hard too! I need to find one around here!

I love that the Cardio Barre website has a celebrity testimonials section.I can't help but imagine the awkward conversation of "Hi, Lucy Lawless, I know you don't usually do this, would you mind writing a testimonial?"

I lived in LA a few years ago and I loved that there was so much to do, so many fun eateries. Prim's Cup sounds interesting.

Aww, snuggling is my favorite. Happy Monday!

You play softball in the winter down there? Weird! Good job trying cardio barre!! I'm scared too. I would most definitely pass out. And wheeze and cough and cry.

I take a barre class at Bar Method -- it totally kicks your butt, but it's so worth it!

I had so much fun Saturday night. I think I got a bit ranty at the bar (did I scream about short guys?) but I hope it was at least entertaining!

Looks like a fun weekend! Thanks for sharing! I bought 20 yoga classes and I'm not motivated to do them now... IT's good to hear about other people's motivation. :-)

I read another post today that talked about Cardio Barre (I'd never heard of it before) and she said she had done ballet for years and even she found it hard and was still sore a week late. Yikes! I hope it gets easier for you! :-)

Love your fun spike necklace. Also, I have tried Barre classes before and yes they are HARD, but it feels good after the soreness stops :)

After hearing The Perfect Compilation talk about Barre classes, I really wanted to check it out. I know it killed you but I am envious. I found a studio by my house but sadly their Monday class won't work for me. The first class is tomorrow and already, I wouldn't be able to make it because I have to work late tomorrow :(

You will be continuing the classes right?
