Man Candy Monday: Chace Crawford

I'm going to be honest, I have the day off and am not going to be near my computer so I figured I'd post about the prettiest guy I can think of: Chace Crawford. Dude is beautiful, but in a good way :) This week's Man Candy Monday is about more face time and less facts! That's OK though because we all link up to look at the hunky pictures more than read their stories anyway, right?

So here we go, ladies. Enjoy!

I Love Me Some Mason Jars

Welcome to Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesdays! I have a confession to make. You see, as a life-long California girl, I've always imagined what it'd be like living in the South. So much more history, a relaxed pace of life...manners! Yeah, Californians tend to be super rude. I've been to the South once and the people were amazingly nice.

I am fortunate enough to be returning this fall to visit a friend in Nashville (my first time in Music City, USA!). After a phone conversation with my pal earlier this week, I seem to be daydreaming of the region and one of the things that pops into my mind is mason jars. Totally country chic.

Aren't they just beautiful? They can be used for the simplest things and create such a big impact. Do/have you used mason jars to decorate?

Let's see what you're pinning this week. Link up with Michelle of The Vintage Apple and play along. If you want to be Pinterest pals, add me ;)

It's also time for another edition of What the Hell Wednesday with Christianna of The Girl With the Blue Bow! So here's my rant...

Yesterday I saw a familiar homeless woman eating from the trash outside of my work. She's a bit scary and tends to yell at people but I figured I'd put my fear aside and give her one of the two bananas I'd just bought. I hand her the piece of fruit and say "Here ya go!", to which she responds with a dirty look then proceeds to throw (and by throw I mean slam) than banana into the trash! Really?!

What do you need to get off your chest this week? Head on over to Christianna's blog and link up!

The Getty Villa

On Saturday my friends Kathrin and Tiffany made their way up to Los Angeles for a girls' day/night. We headed to The Getty Villa in Malibu to get our culture on. Although we were super late and only had a little over an hour to explore the amazing artifacts, sculptures, and gardens, we did a pretty good job of squeezing it all in. The place is beautiful and overlooks the ocean. I can't wait to go back!

After experiencing all that class, we grabbed dinner at Duke's Malibu and took in the gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, then balanced out the day by getting trashed...or at least I did. Tiffany best described the night by naming the shot we were taking as "summer shitshow". Indeed it was. I had my first hangover as a result, no bueno. I jinxed myself though because I was bragging that I'd never had one before. Regardless, it was a great time!

Man Candy Monday: James Franco

Let's get honest, this week's Man Candy choice, James Franco, is a bit weird in real life, but hot. I mean, is he high all the time or just "artistic"? Regardless he's super attractive, talented, and smart making him a worthy MCM selection. I first saw him in the TV movie James Dean and was smitten. He was great in the role and soon started getting more and more roles and his popularity soared.

New Purchases From Old Navy

A few weeks back I snagged a Groupon for Old Navy - I spent $10 and got $20 store credit. Combine that with 20% off my purchase and I got the following three items for about $50. Not too bad considering they are all staple pieces!

$19.94
This bag is pretty small, measuring approximately 10 1/2"L x 2"W x 7"H. I like it though since I can throw it across my body and not worry about carrying it. Perfect for concerts and traveling. It comes in a variety of colors.

Super comfy shorts with great pockets that'll match with everything, but they run a bit big and also stretch with wear. I suggest going for a size smaller because I bought them to fit and they were sliding down all day.

Women's Twill Jackets On sale online for $29.50
In-store on sale for $20 ($10 with Groupon!)
I bought this jacket in khaki green but it comes in the color above and navy as well. It's going to be perfect for my fall trip to Nashville.

Have you been to Old Navy recently? I was looking for a dress but didn't find anything I liked. It took me awhile but I'm glad I found the gems I purchased. They'll last for years to come.
