I'm *$%*ing Matt Damon

I recently learned that my friend had never seen the infamous Jimmy Kimmel music video feud. Because these videos are SO hilarious, I have taken it upon myself to pass them along and brighten each of your days!

If you have seen the videos, no intro needed. If you haven't, also no intro needed because I don't want to spoil the humor that is the Jimmy Kimmel vs. Sarah Silverman.

Without further ado...

Then comes the following video response...

Hope that made your week, because it did for me =]

Britney at the Staples Center

Friday was the big night, the Britney Spears at the Staples Center in LA! My friend Stephanie and I were pumped to see the show and made an entire weekend of it. We had the pleasure of staying at the Omni in Downtown LA. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay. It's definitely one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at.

But anyways, onto Britney!

The show was kicked off by the Pussycat Dolls, who blew me away. I am not particularly a fan of this group; however, they won me over for sure. Their energy was high, they got the audience involved, the weren't lip syncing, and they make a girl inspired to work out hard to achieve the amazing bodies they have! I want to go out and buy their CDs now, something I wouldn't have done before the concert.

When PCD was done, the crowd went wild watching the "circus acts" perform in the minutes leading up to Britney's performance. The screams intensified when "Circus" blasted over the speakers and the Pop Princess stormed the stage.

Britney certainly put on a show. The setup was one huge circle stage in the middle, with two smaller ones on the ends. Just about each inch of those stages were used by Brit and her dancers. Each section of the audience was able to see the show thanks to the choreography that took the performers in circles throughout the night.

I had never been to this type of concert before, so I am not sure how outfit changes usually work. About every two songs Britney would descend below the main stage to get into her next getup. During these periods, there were acts such as dancing clowns, jugglers, acrobats, etc.

Now for the disappointments...

I knew Britney was going to lip sync but I thought she'd be a bit more involved with the audience. Unfortunately she didn't really talk to any of us. I was also expecting to hear more of the hits that Brit has produced over the years. To be honest, I only own Circus, but everybody knows Brtiney's songs because she's had so many chart toppers over the past 10 years, so I thought I'd be fine. I was pretty unhappy that neither Stephanie or I had ever heard half of the songs that were being performed. I think that a lot of the audience was in the same boat as us, because many people in our section were sitting through all of the random songs being performed.

Overall, there were good and not so good parts. I don't regret going because it was an experience. I am not quite sure I'd shell out the money again for the next Britney concert.

Did anyone else go to any of her shows? If so, how did you feel about the performances?

MTV's Pro-Violence

I know I am about a week late, but I wanted to talk about a serious matter. On the season openers of Both The Hills and The Duel 2 there were pretty graphic fights between cast members. If you didn't see one, or either, the fights were pretty disgusting and there was blood involved--so they weren't slapping contests in the least. I literally had to change the channel during these violent moments.

Of course such scenes generate viewers which is what the network wants, but it is MTV's duty to be more responsible being that their audience is largely teens and pre-teens. When young adults see this sort of behavior they are going to think it's cool and acceptable.

I think that if a fight breaks out on set the footage should not be shown and the characters immediately dismissed from the program.

Let me explain that I am not so ignorant as to think that there aren't numerous programs that depict violence; however, the episodes that I am referring to are real and popular among an influential audience.

Hopefully MTV will higher their standards. I mean, really, it's already cheesy reality that many of us are often ashamed to admit to watching. I prefer they not make it any worse by condoning fist fights.

Happy Easter

I want to wish all of you who celebrate a happy Easter! Regardless of your religion and beliefs, the months of March, April, and May probably make you think of springtime...or maybe that's just me. This time of year evokes the thought of tulips, ducklings, butterflies, and sunshine. It's all about pastels.

So keeping with the theme, here are a few of my favorite jewelry pieces currently at Red Envelope:
$39.95-$239.85

What do you envision around this time of year?

Wet Seal Deals

Since I posted a few days ago about needing a dress, I decided to get on that. Thanks to all who provided me with their favorite sites, I saw a lot of cute stuff. I decided to shop at WetSeal.com because I found a discount code online that gave me free shipping AND they allow for in-store returns. Perfect for the paranoid online shopper that I am.

I ended up purchasing two dresses that are pretty similar to the last two that I had added to my wishlist in my last post...but quite cheaper and just as cute!

for a mere $19.50. I don't know if it was due to my discount code, but I was given a lower price for this dress when checking out--only $9.50! And below, the Floral Chiffon Maxi Dress, is currently $32.50.

Both dresses can be dresses up or down, which I love. And they can even be great for work. I am sure I will get a lot of use out of both.

I think the first dress will do perfectly for the upcoming Britney Spears concert I am going to in two weeks! And the second is well-suited for the No Doubt reunion tour at the beginning of August.

If you'd like to do some shopping at Wet Seal, be sure to use the discount FREE09. It's provides free shipping on all orders over $15. It may be the reason for my tank dress discount, too. It doesn't expire until December 31 so you have plenty of time!
