Pura Vida: A Company That Does Good

I am all about companies that you can feel good about purchasing from because of their business practices. Pura Vida is one of those companies.

Pura Vida Bracelets

You may have heard of Pura Vida bracelets. They are simple, yet darling. But did you know how the company got started? Two San Diego natives teamed up with two local bracelet peddlers during a visit to Costa Rica and created a line that helps to provide 100+ full-time jobs to Costa Rican artisans. On top of providing work, Pura Vida is huge on philanthropic causes. They have partnered with 190 charities and donated nearly $1 million to date. AND Pura Vida is also a member of 1% for the Planet. As such, they donate 1% of their annual net revenue to environmental organizations worldwide. Amazing!

With bracelets starting as low as $5 and supporting a plethora of causes from environmental, to animal and memorial, you're sure to find a bracelet, and cause, near to your heart. When you view the Pura Vida charity section on the site, you can learn about what your purchase supports. It's all very cool!

Pura Vida Pura Vida bracelets give back

I like these bracelets because they are understated, yet stylish and send a powerful message. Since they are made of simple string, they can be worn alone or stacked with a watch or other bracelets. And they give off a beachy vibe that makes you want to dip your toes in the water and take in a ]n ocean sunset.

The holidays are on the horizon and these bracelets will make the perfect stocking stuffer or gift. In addition to bracelts, Pura Vida has branched out and now sells clothing items, necklaces, and bags. Below are just a few examples of the many must-have products available on the site. Happy shopping!

In exchange for a review, I was provided with Pura Vida bracelets. All thoughts are truthful and my own.

J.Crew Factory Jewelry Sale

Last week I did some J.Crew Factory jewelry shopping...of course this week the whole store is 50% off. Womp womp. BUT, you can get in on the savings! I found a gorgeous necklace and some earrings that match. If you're looking for some sparkle, both items are perfect.

This Month's Rocksbox + a Free Month for YOU

Get a FREE month of Rocksbox with code jointhegossipxoxo

My latest Rocksbox was all blinged out. Nothing dainty or delicate about this package, but the theme was definitely crystal! I received a Slate Crystal Points Necklace, Slate Crystal Chain Cuff, and Perry Street Gwen Crystal Studs.

While super pretty, I feel the bracelet is a bit too much for me. But I do love that it uses a magnet as a closure, instead of a clasp which can be so difficult to maneuver. I'd never seen that before - genius! Likewise, the necklace wasn't for me. The triangles don't stay straight and twist around, making some face up while others were downward facing. It's unfortunate because the necklace is way cute.

My favorite piece from the box are the earrings. They are super glam but can still be worn everyday.

Free Month of Rocksbox for Everyone!

Free month of Rockbox with code jointhegossipxoxo

Some people are obsessed with shoes. Addicted to nail polish. Me? I'm a sucker for jewelry. Enter my new obsession, Rocksbox!

For a $19 monthly subscription you get to borrow three designer pieces at a time and swap them out anytime you want (think Netflix for jewelry). If you like one of the items, you can easily buy it. Each month you're given a $10 credit to use toward a purchase . When you're ready to return, you simply mail the items back in the bag in which they came. Don't worry about going to the post office because the package is small enough to fit in your mailbox. Once the items arrive back at Rocksbox your new package is sent. It's that easy.

When you sign up, you'll take a "test" that'll help the stylists curate a monthly box that fits your personal style. For that monthly fee of less than $20 you get to dress up in high-quality designer pieces.
