It's been eight years since the horrific events of September 11, 2009, and seeing images of the day still move us to tears. Every American remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing when the news of the world trade center being hit was blasted across the world.
I would appreciate if my readers could take a moment today to recognize the heroic actions of countless individuals that day, as well as those who were lost in the mindless devastation of that fateful day.
It's not about politics, parties, or beliefs--it's about standing united and being thankful for what the United States stand for.
To my foreign readers, thank you for taking the time to read this. September 11 may not have the same impact on you, but your support is greatly appreciated.
Everyone: don't take today for granted. Tell your loved ones that your care for them. Be happy.

I remember I was in middle school when it happen. I prayed the whole day. I really appreciate this post.
Very nice tribute post.
I had just started high school, and was getting ready in the morning - watching "Little House On the Prairie" - when the program was interrupted with footage of the towers being hit. I instantly thought of my Uncle.
Beautiful tribute. I am spending the day remember this awful tragedy and keeping those affected and torn apart by it in my prayers.
It is one of those days that will stay in the hearts of every being ...wonderful tribute.
Wow! That was well done... I still remember that day so vividly.... a day that cannot & should not be forgotten.
Good video. I read about it here in India when it happened. I had a friend who watched the entire thing from her bedroom window while she was getting ready for school. She was so traumatized that till date, she has an issue with opening her window blinds. It's truly sad. India went through a similar experience on 26/11 last year. I can feel the pain of all the families that never got any closure because they never even knew whether there family members/friends were alive or not. The fear of the people trapped in there, texting from under beds that the terrorists from Pakistan were going to get them.
It's heartfelt and saddening.
