Foodie Friday

Today I'm guest posting over at The Girl With the Blue Bow while the wonderful Christianna is having a blast at Disneyland. Please head on over and check out my post about The Rolling Stones!

And before I get to my post, here's the moment you've been waiting for - the giveaway winner. Thank you all for entering and congrats to Claire of Bicoastally!!

Now onto some food...

There are so many restaurants in LA. I could go out to eat every night for a year and probably still not visit all of the restaurants. I'd say there are at least 50 restaurants within 5 miles from my apartment.

Some of my recent meals have included sushi at RA and a joint called House that serves a bunch of random goodness. Feast your eyes on these delights:

RA

House

At House I had delicious wine - as in, it's now my fav wine. It's Layer Cake Shiraz. I am going to go buy a bottle tonight. It's so smooth and tasty. Has anyone tried it? It was $10 a glass at House but sells for only $12.99 to BevMo! Club Members (score!). I just may have to try the label's Primitivo and Malbec ;)

All that food looks delicious! Thanks for giving me 2 more places to add to my must try list...I'm never going to make it through them all!

I read somewhere that the Michelin guy that rates restaurants said "there's no good food in LA." He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about!

Re: giveaway . . . YAY and THANK YOU!!!

All of Layer Cake's wines are so good, and I can't believe the Shiraz is $12.99 at BevMo! That's a steal. Trader Joes has one of the Layer Cake wines . . . I think it's the Primitivo. I think it's $14.99? I don't think I've had the Cab, but I'm gonna go on the hunt for it!

I must try that wine now :) My sister lives in San Diego - still haven't been out there but hopefully in the spring, and I was amazed by how much she has at her place... CA must just be a food mecca. In which case, I need to get in on that!

I will have to try the LCS! I'm such a red-o. I'm always on the hunt for new good wine! Although Apothic Red always seems to steal my number 1 spot! Give it a try, it's AMAZING!
