LA Fashion Weekend

On Sunday night I attended LA Fashion Weekend at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood and it was quite the experience. Fashion, celebrities, and a packed house would best sum up the night. My fashionable friend Tiffany came with me and upon arriving we saw Janice Dickinson, who was surprisingly short and very pretty!

After people watching and grabbing a few free cocktails, the crowd was ushered into the tent for the show. Of course having my name on the guest list would be too easy, since I received my confirmation email and all. I was lucky to just have gotten in though. Unfortunately two of my blogging pals weren't able to attend because of mix ups. It's too bad the organization was lacking.

Due to the mix up I lost out on seats and had to stand for the three shows that took place, but it wasn't too bad. I had a great view of the clothes.

I was invited to LA Fashion Weekend to see the Gossip Girl by Romeo & Juliete Couture collection (which I blogged about several months ago). My reaction: very impressed! I loved almost every look that came down the runway.

I was also really into the Lizzy Parker show! What I liked about her collection was the wearability for the everyday woman. If her name sounds familiar it's because she can currently be seen on Fashion Star with Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson.

And we even saw a Housewife! Alexis of The Real Housewives of Orange County was showing her collection, Alexis by Tal Sheyen. Her pieces were very sparkly and over the top. Far too formal for my casual life. Still fun to look at.

Overall I was pretty impressed with the three collections and look forward to seeing more from all of the designers!

Gossip Girl by Romeo & Juliet Couture

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Hollywood launch party of Gossip Girl by Romeo & Juliet Couture, along with fellow bloggers, Kate of Nautical By Nature, and Annemarie of Brunch at Saks. Inspired by the items Gossip Girl characters would wear, Romeo & Juliet Couture just debuted a line that is available at Kitson.

For the party, the three of us were sent clothing from the line to wear. As you can see, Annemarie and I were wearing the same top...

Phyllis (the amazing Warner Bros. rep!), Annemarie, Kate, and me

Annemarie, Kate, me, and Sarah Hyland of Modern Family

While it was nice to be wearing actual pieces from the line, I wish I'd had pieces that fit better. Unfortunately, stripped cropped tops aren't the best style for my body type. Also, it was a bit awkward that Annemarie and I were dressed the same. In fact, we were even asked if we were twins. Definitely my "What the Hell" moment of the week (I love that Christianna of The Girl With The Blue Bow hosts a weekly What the Hell Wednesday series - you should link up with her! ;).

All in all, I'm glad we went. It was fun to go to the party, meet Sarah Hyland, and hang with other bloggers. Plus anything that has to do with Gossip Girl and I'm there!

And speaking of, Gossip Girl airs Mondays 8/7c on The CW (if there is anyone in the country that doesn't know that!) and there's a new episode next week, November 7. Be sure to tune in. In the meantime, here are some sneak peek photos!
