Gossip Girl by Romeo & Juliet Couture

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Hollywood launch party of Gossip Girl by Romeo & Juliet Couture, along with fellow bloggers, Kate of Nautical By Nature, and Annemarie of Brunch at Saks. Inspired by the items Gossip Girl characters would wear, Romeo & Juliet Couture just debuted a line that is available at Kitson.

For the party, the three of us were sent clothing from the line to wear. As you can see, Annemarie and I were wearing the same top...

Phyllis (the amazing Warner Bros. rep!), Annemarie, Kate, and me

Annemarie, Kate, me, and Sarah Hyland of Modern Family

While it was nice to be wearing actual pieces from the line, I wish I'd had pieces that fit better. Unfortunately, stripped cropped tops aren't the best style for my body type. Also, it was a bit awkward that Annemarie and I were dressed the same. In fact, we were even asked if we were twins. Definitely my "What the Hell" moment of the week (I love that Christianna of The Girl With The Blue Bow hosts a weekly What the Hell Wednesday series - you should link up with her! ;).

All in all, I'm glad we went. It was fun to go to the party, meet Sarah Hyland, and hang with other bloggers. Plus anything that has to do with Gossip Girl and I'm there!

And speaking of, Gossip Girl airs Mondays 8/7c on The CW (if there is anyone in the country that doesn't know that!) and there's a new episode next week, November 7. Be sure to tune in. In the meantime, here are some sneak peek photos!

The idea that twins in their late 20s would still dress identically is hilarious. :) I think you all look cute & how cool that you get these opportunities to go to parties like this! I haven't ever seen Gossip Girl but I know I'd love it, so maybe next summer when I have time to binge-watch I'll watch them all from the beginning. :)

I shit you not, a few of my girlfriends and I went out one night and there was a band playing. The two singers were 50-60 year old twins. Not only did they have matching outfits, they had matching feathered hair. It. was. amazing.

Looks like you had an awesome time! Bet it made missing the TAT concert a little better? Though that was amazingly awesome as well!

Thanks for the wonderful shout out, and for always linking up! The fact that you and Annemarie were asked if you were twins makes me giggle. You should have just run with it, and started singing Mary Kate and Asheley songs!

I mean, at least the shirt was free...? But yeah, that's kind of ridiculous, especially considering it wasn't some random person but someone you actually knew that was going to the event too. Poor planning on their part I feel like!!

Still cool you got to go though. VIP status!!

Oh man I just love the photo of you guys on either side of me (in matching tops). It really looks like I am your mom ;)

I think you both looked great. It could have been worse (you saw my top!)

Fun event! I think you look great, but I agree about cropped shirts. They look awful on me! Not to mention they are always too short since I’m 6’0. Bummer that you were wearing the same shirt, but you all look great! Sarah Hyland is so cute!

That was so nice that they sent you each a piece from the new line! I thought it was just a coincidence when I saw the pic :) I’m sorry you didn’t love the top, but I really think you looked great and made it work.

I still think it’s great you get to go to all these fabulous events and that meeting Sarah Hyland was a nice bonus. Modern Family is one of my favorite shows!

hehe I was wondering why you had the same tops on :p I like the top, you could put a blazer over it to give it some more shape?
