And Then the World Fell in Love With Theo James

Ladies, let's talk about the world's favorite heartthrob right now - Mr. Theo James.

I'll give you a second to recuperate...I suspect you swooned, fainted, and/or kissed your computer screen after gazing at the picture of that incredible specimen on a man. I did all three, no shame. We're kinda dating. In mind, but whatever. Just go with it.

I joined the party late in the game. I got the Divergent box set (that includes the whole series: Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant) for Christmas and didn't start reading until late January. Before I was finished with the first book the movie trailers were released, but luckily not played so frequently that I couldn't avoid them. I wanted to read the book without a picture of the cast. The second I finished reading, I jumped on the Divergent IMDB page to check out who was playing which characters. And then I saw Four, 29-year-old British actor, Theo James, and my heart skipped a beat.

God bless the casting director who made the genius move to select a relatively unknown, breathtakingly gorgeous man to play Tobias Easton who we all fell in love with while reading Divergent!

If you have yet to read Divergent, have no fear. I suspect you could watch the movie and understand the plot. But if you are like me and prefer to read the book first, you could easily get yourself a copy and read it in a few days. It's very similar to The Hunger Games in that it's a young adult novel with a strong heroin and supportive male at her side. Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down.

I cannot wait to see Divergent! Who else is going to see it? You should, that's for sure!

May the odds be ever in your favor

I finally finished The Hunger Games trilogy on Thursday night! Of course, my favorite book out of the three was The Hunger Games. I am SOOO excited for the movie to come out...and that's an understatement.

I'll admit that I am usually not much of a reader. Sadly I tend to gravitate to really bad reality TV as opposed to anything intellectual, but I am trying to change that. Thus my obsession with The Hunger Games. Strangely I read all three books in four days each. Would have read them faster if damn work wouldn't have gotten in the way.

What are you pinning? Head over to The Vintage Apple to link up with Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday. And if you'd like a new friend, add me on Pinterest. I'll add you back :)

And onto What the Hell Wednesday, created by the amazing Christianna of The Girl With the Blue Bow. This week I have a perfect what the hell - a big fat bruise right on my hamstring courtesy of my dad. Yup, my own father!

Two weeks ago we were playing softball - I was a base runner on second and he was the batter. Then it happened a HARD line drive hit straight at me. As soon as it came off the bat I knew it was going to hit me so I turned around figuring I'd rather get hit in the back than the front. The second it smacked into the back of my leg I yelled several profanities and the pain intensified.

My bruise was gnarly and so was the lump that accompanied the bad boy. The pictures above was taken about a day before it really got bad. It turned into a blackish purple. Luckily it's getting better because it's not a good look!

P.S. Sorry for the near butt experience!!

Beginning Bookworm

This summer I picked up a new hobby, reading. Yeah in less than a month I turn 28 and I am just getting in to reading novels. Sad. I blame bad reality TV and my laziness.

I always start books and if I get bored, don't finish them. Maybe I just read the wrong books? Point is, I've started a new chapter in my life (pun intended ;) and am making an effort to read as many books as I can this summer. So far, I've completed:

*Murder on the Boulevard
- written by adorable Kori of Blonde Episodes, check it out!
*The Catcher in the Rye - this was my first time, wasn't a fan at all.
*These Things Hidden- Read about 100 pages each time I picked up the book. Suspenseful end.

Any book suggestions you have are welcomed. Send them over my way please!

I hope to continue on and read a book every one to two weeks. So in honor of my new found love for reading, that's the theme for this week's Oh, How Pinteresting post.

I am so happy that I have been linking up with Michelle of The Vintage Apple for her Oh, How Pinteresting blog hop the last few weeks. It's a blast. I highly suggest you sign up if you don't yet have a Pinterest account. And once you're all set, link up with Michelle. Oh yeah, and add me as a friend ;)
