Easily Attainable Waves

My hair is straight and I have a difficult time getting it to hold a curl. In fact, I don't even attempt to curl it because it just ends badly. Because I get tired of my stringy strands, and, well because I'm too lazy to wake up early to wash and blow dry my hair, I have come up with an alternative.

After washing my hair, I put it in anywhere from one to five braids. The amount of braids determine how wavy the results are. The pictures here are the result of two braids. I was going for the whole Jennifer Aniston loose locks look.

To add some style to the waves, I simply pull one side of my hair back and secure it with two bobby pins. On the other side, I pin my bangs back. It literally takes two minute
s, and the best part is that it lasts all day long! It actually holds longer than that, but I have towash my hair every other day.

Sorry these pictures aren't too good, I used my Mac to take them. But, you can still get the gist of the style that braiding provides.

Does anybody have any quick styling hair tips? If so, do share please =)

I have naturally wavy hair but it's really frizzy, so I tend to straight it... it's much faster than to play around with diffuser and then hoping for the frizz to be tames... but I will definately give this a try... do you wash and sleep with the braids?
It looks really pretty on you :)

Thanks Marta =) I do sleep with the braids in. And, if I want a realy relaxed look, I wait until my hair is dry, braid it, then sleep on it.

ur so lucky you have straight hair. i'm the opposite of you and am way too lazy to wake up early, just to straighten my hair.:( plus it's no good for the hair anyway to flat iron often.

what i do to get more defined waves and turn them into curlz is apply a dollop of curling gel OR mouse (I love VO5 mouse, OR Studioline curling gel) and I just flip my hair over and scrunch. Voila! :D

Your way is better b/c you need not use products, but they will help the curls stay.

Wow, this is some great hair style and without any effort... wish I can style my hair so easily. Mine is wavy and frizzy and should always be styled with blow dryer and iron and products. Wish I could roll out of bed and look like you!!!
