2016 Emmys: Top 8 Red Carpet Looks

I don't really watch awards shows so I did not tune into the Emmy's last night. But I am all about Emmys fashion. Here are my picks for best dressed of the night. Aside from the first three looks, that are my top favorites, the rest are in no particular order.

Clearly I'm drawn to sparkles since six of the eight have some serious glitter appeal. They are gorgeous!

What was your favorite look of the night? Anyone I missed that should have been included?

The Voice Top 8, Season 8 Red Carpet

Last night I hit The Voice Season 8 red carpet to get up close and personal with the top eight contestants. With me was the lady who introduced me to blogging over eight years ago (and my former boss!) Elana of Diary of a Personal Shopper. We had a blast talking entertainment!

Diary of a Personal Shopper and Join the Gossip

Unfortunately Adam and Christina skipped the red carpet and Blake was rushed through by his publicist, but we did get some time with the nicest dude in the music biz - Mr. Pharrell Williams. He made it a point to shake each reporter's hand and ask each of us our names. That's really rare. When you watch him on The Voice and see how kind he is, it's totally genuine and real.

We also got face time with the top eight contestants - all of which who explained how stiff the competition is, but how much they like and root for one another. So much (humble) talent!

Be sure to tune into The Voice on Monday at 8/7c on NBC when former coaches CeeLo, Usher, and Gwen come back to help out!

Who are you rooting for to take it all as The Voice Season 8 winner?

America's Got Talent, Season 9 Red Carpet

Yesterday I hit the red carpet to talk about America's Got Talent Season 9 with the stars of the show. Among many topics, we talked about the what it takes to impress the judges, how it's rough to reject contestants, and the brand new AGT Golden Buzzer which allows each judge one save this season.

Heidi Klum on the red carpet
Heidi Klum
On what talent she looks for: "Weird is good but they have to be talented. There has to be something to them that makes me want to stand up and give them a standing ovation."

Howie Mandel - AGT
Howie Mandel
On being the first judge to use the Golden Buzzer: "I'm very passionate about who I saved but the idea is we only get to use it once a season. Hopefully I'll use my charm and charm some of the other judges into using their Golden Buzzer moment."

Howard Stern - AGT
Howard Stern
On the hardest talent to perform: "When you're a comedian you've gotta come up with jokes. That's tough. That's real tough."

Nick Cannon - AGT
Nick Cannon
On dealing with rejected contestants: "I'm there to be a therapist at times, to let everybody know that it's not the end of the world. It's only a television show."

Mel B. - AGT
Mel B.
She only did a few - if any at all - interviews then rushed off the carpet. Womp womp.

This Saturday Nautical By Nature and I are heading to a taping of an audition. It should be fun! Although I'm worried I'm going to feel really bad for everyone who gets cut. Even if they have no talent, I'm a sissy with people's dreams getting crushed! I'd clearly make a lousy judge.

AGT returns Tuesday, May 27 at 8/7c on NBC. Make sure to tune in.

On the Red Carpet With the Top 12 of The Voice Season 6

Yesterday I hit the red carpet with The Voice's Season 6 Top 12 contestants for some show insight, gossip on the judges, and musical aspirations!

While I got to talk to all of the contestants, except Team Blake's country star Josh due to time (which I was super sad about because he seems hilarious), unfortunately I didn't snap pictures of everyone. Here's a look at eight of the power-house singers in the Top 12 I did get photos of.

T.J. - Team Usher  |  Sisaundra - Team Blake
Audra - Team Blake  |  Bria - Team Usher
Dani - Team Shakira  |  Tess - Team Shakira
Kristen - Team Shakira  |  Josh - Team Usher

Every single person was extremely sweet and genuinely excited to be a part of The Voice. It's so refreshing to be around talent that has a real love for their craft! In addition to everyone professing their love for their coaches who really are invested in each contestant, a few common topics kept coming up: Adam smells amazing, the coaches are down to earth, meditation and staying calm before performances helps a lot, and if given the opportunity to perform with anyone, Stevie Wonder landed on the wish list more than once.

Since the very beginning Team Blake's Sisaundra has been a front runner to win it all. Her voice is unreal. Later that night I heard her sing live and I legit had goosebumps. It was so fun speaking with her. Check out the interview a fellow reporter and I conducted with her:

During the Top 12 concert hosted after the red carpet, each singer surprisingly sounded even more amazing than they do on TV! For awhile I thought they may be lip singing - they were all so perfect - so I intensely concentrating on their lips to see if anyone would slip up. I finally heard one or two contestants with very minor pitch issues (which probably only I heard since I was hoping for it) confirming that the were indeed belting out the songs. The level of talent is unreal! To be honest I was iffy on quite a few of the Top 12, partially since I'm bitter Jake from Team Adam is gone, but I have to give everyone credit - each contestant is worthy of winning Season 6.

Tune into the live performances next Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC. You finally get a say in who stays, so vote!

On the Red Carpet With The Voice

Yesterday I hit the red carpet in Hollywood with the stars of The Voice - Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher, Shakira, and Carson Daly! The group talked about the show, their relationships, and their careers, all of which provided for great insight into each superstar's character.

Check out these up-close-and-personal photos!

Blake and Adam explained their bromance, saying that they're friends and that's why they mess with each other on the show. No need to worry about the on-screen disses, people!

Shakira and Usher on The Voice Red Carpet
Both Shakira and Usher take their roles as coaches extremely seriously. While not everyone can make a team or get all the way to the Knockout Rounds, these two feel like each contestant is learning and growing.

As the show's host Carson Daly experiences the highs and lows that come along with auditions. He's with the families during the Blinds and genuinely roots for each singer to advance. His reactions - totally real.

Be sure to tune in to The Voice to see Adam, Blake, Usher, Shakira, and Carson in action!
The show airs Mondays and Tuesdays 8/7.
