Live at The Voice Finale! And the Winner Is...

Jordan Smith is the winner of The Voice Season 9! And Team Adam wins for the third time in the show's nine seasons. Congrats to both, who were very entertaining at the press conference following the finale.

I was at NBCUniversal to experience the final episode of the season, followed by a Q&A with the winners, and it was a great opportunity to share in the excitement of Jordan's win, and get a real feel for his personality. He's sarcastically hilarious by the way - in addition to being humble and dedicated when it comes to his talent and long career ahead.

Coach and contestant have a fun banter and it is obvious that they are comfortable with each other, which could have very well played a part in Jordan's success on the show. Having a close relationship and trust with Adam may have provided the great working relationship that helped Jordan Smith win The Voice.

Jordan Smith and Adam win The Voice Season 9

Overall, I really enjoyed the finale. Here are my highlights:

-Sam Hunt who is amazing to stare at and drool  over
-Coldplay, because Coldplay
-The skits with the Coaches
-The Missy and Pharrell puppets that creeped me out but were also indescribably everything

And finally, I'll just gonna put this right here ;)

My Sit Down with The Voice Judges

WHO IS READY FOR THE VOICE TO COME BACK?! It's that time! I recently got to attend a clam bake complete with lobster rolls and crustacean-themed decorations on the set with the judges and Carson. I've interviewed all of the guys, and it's always a cool experience, but OMFG I sat at a table with the epitome of amazing - Gwen Stefani! Like, I couldn't stop staring at her. She's so beautiful. The amount of bling she had on was insane, She's totally modest about how kickass she is. Fun fact: I was born in Anaheim, so we're from the same town. Basically BFFs. And if that weren't enough, I got to look each of the judges in the eyes and ask questions and have conversations with these megastars. Dead.

After I snapped out of my starstruck phase I was able to speak actual words to Adam, Blake, Pharrell, Gwen, and Carson. I learned some interesting music-related facts, including:

-Blake has Dolly Parton at the top of his list of mentors to work with on the show.
-Gwen isn't sure that she'd win The Voice if she were a contestant since her voice is so unique. Carson quickly stepped in and pointed out that after four words of "Don't Speak" every judge would turn their chairs.
-Adam, no surprise, said he'd definitely win The Voice if he tried out. Not because he'd be the best, but because he'd work so hard to make sure he became the best.
-Pharrell said his inspiration in the music industry comes from fashion and that plays a big part in his career.
-Carson explained that having rotating judges on the show has always been exciting because The Voice buzz allows for big names to want to get involved.

Overall it was a really incredible experience and I'm excited to watch! Season 9 of The Voice premieres Monday, September 21 at 8/7c. Tune in!

Before I go, once again, the perfect Gwen. She is not just a girl. She is everything! Am I right?

The Voice Season 7 Premieres Tonight!

This go around of the Voice I'm more excited than ever for the show to premiere! Back for Season 7 with Pharrell and Gwen Stefani joining the judges' panel, things are new and exciting. I had the opportunity to view the premiere episode and can promise you we're in for a very entertaining season.

Adam and Blake are our constants. It's pretty safe to say they're loved by most of The Voice audience. But those rotating judges' spots are the wild cards of the show. Out of Xtina, CeeLo, Shakira, and Usher, Usher is my favorite. He seemed to genuinely mesh well. But after seeing Pharell and Gwen, nothing compares. Together, the four judges are magic!

They all play off each other so well and there's a level of respect for each other, and music, that's obvious. When you watch the premiere episode you will see what I saw - really talented people, really eager to coach talented musicians. It feels so genuine.

You'll also see a lot of great voices. Like really great. The caliber of contestants is unreal. I had goosebumps watching, that's how incredible these performers are. And on top of stellar singing, there's the comedy of four megastars duking it out to snatch up the best of the best. During the screening the theater was filled with laughter, and in a room full of media and TV critics, that's not something that comes easy. It's a huge testament to the what's in store for us this season.

After the episode was over we all got a chance to jump in the judges' chair. I totally geeked out. So fun! And if all that wasn't enough the good people over at NBC/Universal made attendees the cutest swag bags full of products from the judges. Vodka, Starbucks, music, and perfume - what more could I need in life?!

Tune into the Season 7 premiere of The Voice tonight! Catch episodes Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

On the Red Carpet With The Voice

Yesterday I hit the red carpet in Hollywood with the stars of The Voice - Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher, Shakira, and Carson Daly! The group talked about the show, their relationships, and their careers, all of which provided for great insight into each superstar's character.

Check out these up-close-and-personal photos!

Blake and Adam explained their bromance, saying that they're friends and that's why they mess with each other on the show. No need to worry about the on-screen disses, people!

Shakira and Usher on The Voice Red Carpet
Both Shakira and Usher take their roles as coaches extremely seriously. While not everyone can make a team or get all the way to the Knockout Rounds, these two feel like each contestant is learning and growing.

As the show's host Carson Daly experiences the highs and lows that come along with auditions. He's with the families during the Blinds and genuinely roots for each singer to advance. His reactions - totally real.

Be sure to tune in to The Voice to see Adam, Blake, Usher, Shakira, and Carson in action!
The show airs Mondays and Tuesdays 8/7.
