Beautiful Orange County Beaches

Every fall I get insanely jealous of the rest of the country who gets the real autumn experience. Cool temps, pumpkin patches, pretty leaves. We have all of those things, but on a very small scale. Instead of being bitter that we're STILL hitting 90 degree temps into October, I'm going to focus on the positive - the beautiful beaches of Orange County. I mean, right in my backyard there is the Pacific Ocean, sandy beaches, and palm trees galore. If I can't have a cozy fall, incredible weather and breathtaking sights aren't so bad.

I recently took a trip down PCH to explore beaches that I normally don't visit. I grew up going to Huntington and Newport that are known for surfing and lots of beach to lay out on. Picturesque SoCal. But the stretch between Newport and San Diego are smaller and rockier, with a lot of private beach access. AND, unfortunately a recent hurricane in Mexico made for large waves which engulfed what little beach real estate there usually is. Regardless, each stop on our adventure was so gorgeous.

So I give you my fall - San Clemente, Dana Point, and Lauguna Beach!

Beautiful pics! I honestly don't get jealous of everyone up north with fall foliage because I know soon all those leaves will fall and leave everything barren and dreary and COLD. I'll take the heat and lush green plants/trees all around :)

I know exactly what you mean, down here in FL we've been getting in the 80's still during the day, although we have been having some cooler mornings and nights! But I'm ok with it because although I love the Fall colors that those up north get, I don't want what comes after it- freezing cold and snow! :)

Being able to go to the beach year round even just to walk it is pretty awesome!

Uhm, don't be too jealous of fall (okay, maybe a little jealous)... but seriously, soon we'll be in full blown winter bitching mode, which is actually the worst. This is stunning, unbelievably stunning. I want the beach (seriously, I need to come visit you!) year round. Your pictures are beautiful - you should frame them, girl.
Happyyy Friday! xo

Hahahah I love this! I get sad about the lack of fall foliage too, but these pictures remind me why it isn't so bad after all.

Love the OC beaches! Love any beach really. If only we could get rid of some of the middle states so MA and CA could be closer!

These photos are so gorgeous! I live in San Diego and I agree it does suck we basically only have 1 season but it's so pretty year round that I can't complain!

Oh this post makes me miss OC even more...I used to live in Huntington Beach and I love all these beaches...I remember just driving from HB to Dana Point down PCH in the early evenings just to clear my head and see a beautiful sunset.

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side because as much as I love the changing foliage here in Northern VA, I would take warm, beachy weather over that any day! These photos make me so jealous!

So pretty! But I'm not jealous of you. Haha! I live for this rainy season! I'm bummed that we're forecasted to have a mild, dry winter. No snow. Boo!

home sweet home so to speak. :) So miss it. However, you'd be jealous of these colorful leaves we are having up here. ;)
